ok guys, so today..I just got out of class and was heading home, and my clutch pedal starts feeling loose and my clutch is not grabbing fully. I pull over and check the cable and everything seems alright. I call my friend and he says my clutch probably went out since it was not fully grabbing. In order for me to go home, I had to keep the RPM's around 2k. and whenever i pressed on the gas, the RPM's would go higher without me going faster.
So my question is, did my clutch go out and I need to get another one? I dont think my transmission is done since i can still shift into the gears..
Can anyone help? or give advice?
my car is 92 DA, stock trans, 192k miles

When was the last time you replaced the clutch? If it's the original OEM clutch from factory, most likely the clutch is worn given it's age.

 

i dont think the clutch has been replaced. ive owned the car for 1.5 years. but is it weird that all of a sudden it just went out?
