any know what that is i looked at the form and their is no listing for it but it is in the vtec section? https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=978933 their what i looked at
Thats the right code, it comes along with p0300 p0301 p0302, p0303, etc...
You may have a vacuum leak, a bad tune, bad injectors, bad plugs, or 1000 other things.
Any other codes?
I got this code recently after installing the turbo, but after resetting the ecu and calibrating the wideband, the code went away for good. It was a problem with the fuel trim and I was leaning out badly during idle-warmup.

just had injectors replaced plugs replaced wires replaced cap and rotor replaced both o2 r bad could that be the problem replacing o2 this weekend
I just knew it from memory but here is some data:
P0301- Cylinder 1 misfiring
P0302- cylinder 2 misfiring
P0303- cylinder 3 misfiring
P0300- random / multiple misfire detected.
P1399- Manufactures control Ignition system OR Misfire
I think p1 codes are mfgr specific and don't always show up in OBD2 code lists.

well, from memory... (I had to figure it out myself) but I found that info on this site also. Here's one link:

Ohhhhhhhh... ok, but the info you got is from a different motor. He even wrote that he is not sure what ECU he has! All ECU's are different. Iam sure he is wrong.
Actually, this was on my 2000 GSR. The mysterious p1399 code is a REAL code... random misfire. Simple as that, it's a mfgr specific OBD2 code.
I can guarantee this as 100% fact, as I pulled it myself from my 2000 GSR with my code reader.

The shop manual says look for the other codes. If there are any, troubleshoot them first as they are probably the cause of the misfire. If not,

Honestly, if it's a pending p1399 code and you don't have a p030X or CEL, then it was probably some bad gas.
