Is there any way to paint the sparkplug cover? If so, what kind of paint do you use and are there any special ways to do it?

 

I used a white primer then I used some black krinkle paint to match the valve cover. Match perfect if you follow the directions. Got it at Walmart I think. Wish they made red for my R

 

so all u need is high temperature paint for both the plug and the valve cover?

 

YOu don't even need high temp paint. THat plastic does not get that hot. Had that same piece painted for over 2 years and it looks the same with no flaws.

 

Same here, just used some regular red paing about a year and a half ago, still looks new.

 

1. Sand it down
2. 2 coats of primer (plastic primer is better)
3. 4 thin coats of base color
4. 3 coats of clear coat

It will look good forever

You dont want it looking ghetto hehe
