Please help with engine swap
ok here it is I blew my 1.7 and have a 1.8 I am trying to put in my 92GSR. Having problems with vacuum lines. Need to know how to hook up vacuum lines to fuel pressure regulator. My 92 GSR is different. Doesnt seem to have all vacuum lines. All LS 1.8 have a pressue regulator and a pressure regulator cut off solenoid valve on fire wall and my GSR 1.7 has only the pressure regulator . Is there a way to hook up the fuel pressure regulator without the pressure regulator cut-off solenoid valve. Does anyone know if this swap is possible.
any swap is possible, my only question is why you would want an ls motor in a gsr? why not lsvtec? i mean if you have the ls block, and clearly you have the gsr head why not? any way if your doing that swap your going to need a helms manual for a diagram of vacuum lines and stuff.
I am guessing your best bet would be to go to a local pick a part and look at the B18A version of your car. This should give you a pretty good idea. If a friend has one, that would work too. Good luck!
