Default Piston question. searched

i plan to rebuild my motor since im burning oil. burning oil so i need new piston rings. since im getting those i plan to get new pistons as well. here's my question. when i plan to get new pistons and rings. do i need to get anything else?? rods?.... it's like getting new cams where i need to bump my valve train. so if i get new pistons what else do i need to get to make my car running fine?? ran a search but couldn't find anything. and any suggestions on best daily pistons? if there is such a thing. im kinda new to the internal motor stuff.

TIA

You will need new rod bearings and a new headgasket. I would also get new wrist pins. What engine do you have, and does it currently have stock pistons?

JDM ITR pistons will put you to approximately 11.3:1 compression. JDM CTR's will put you much higher than that. I wouldn't recommend going with the CTR's unless you plan on bigger cams and appropriate valvetrain mods.
