Performance A/C?
I don't know if you guys think so but the A/C in G3 tegs suck......i could have it on full blast and it doesn't get cool until i get where i need to go.....after driving my mom's Neon for 3 weeks, i noticed that my A/C sucks nuts.....even the Neon's A/C gets freezing cold by the time i get 2 blocks away......even when the car was brand new i don't think it worked very well......does anyone know a way to add some HP to the A/C system.....how about putting a NOS purge valve some where in the vents and spray every once in a while.....you could keep cool and get high while driving
yeha i was wondering the same thing, it could be that the A/C system needs to be pressurized some more or you need to refill the refridgerant...... i need to the the same thing, my sucky A/C system is the reason why most of the time i don't even bother using A/C
actualy, there are products that claim to do just what you say, they are caled things line a/c boost, etc. Check the local pep boys or auto parts store, they are in tubes or cans and can be added to the a/c system.
Your car has a half-size compressor. Most American cars have full-size compressors.
There's no "magic" solution that's going to help significantly. Also, the high-revving nature of the motor means the AC compressor's "gearing" is likely reduced so that the unit doesn't self-destruct at 8100 crankshaft RPM.
One thing to do is rev a little...the compressor does more work when the engine spins faster. The "line boost" is refrigerant. That may help if you are low.

Most likely it needs to be recharged with Freon. My AC was pretty awful and wasnt cold at all...had it checked out and my Freon was at 1/2 level..so I had it recharged..and damn now its an freezing on level 2

Well I dont know if its still called Freon...it might be R32 or whatever...but I still refer to it as Freon
Just go to a shop and tell them you need teh AC recharged.

the "license" needed to buy r-12 (not used in G3 tegs) and some other refigerants is a total sham. Anybody can get a legit one online, from the EPA, for $20. http://www.epatest.com
Its an open book test, taken online, you can print out a temporary certification.
R-134a (used in newer a/c systems) is legal and can be bought at any parts store.

its cause newer cars uses a refigerent that doesnt get as cold as the old ones. R 12 gets hella cold, i bet you have like R134 or R134a or maybe CFC type refigerent ( not sure if there is an R134a refg.) but you get my point R12 = cold enough to make you wear a jacket.
umm, the ford windstar has an extra large compressor if that means anything and it get HELLA cold, like cold enough for me to make it a little warmer by turning the ****....and i really like cold, like in the winter my teg windows are a crack open, i dont wear jackets lol, but i guess it's different because.....in the winter im use to the cold, while the AC is on only during the summer so im getting use to the heat, and once im in the AC i get "climatatic shock".....like when it's 50 deg out i get a little nippy....but in the winter i go out in a T shirt when it's 30 ...
Anyway, yeah i think it's the compressor sizing, also the gearing for it like mentioned above, but also, wouldnt the larger compressor need more belt power, which means more parasitic power loss from out tiny engine...

Ok guys, i've got a few points to interject.
R143a is used in every new vehicle starting with model year '96. Not sure what year your car is.
Also, your compressor is not "half sized" as stated earlier, its actually the condenser that is half sized.
