Default Performance

Hi, I am new at this board and I have a couple of questions I am hoping you guys can help me out with. I am looking at purchasing anywhere from a 94-98 LS Integra. I am not looking to spend too much in mods, probably no more than $2000. What kind of modifications would you guys recommend I do to get better performance and power? I am not looking for a 10 second car, just a little bit more power . Thanks!

basic mods are intake, header, cat, exhaust. that will run you around 12-1300 depending on what you get, then spend the rest on suspension and get some shocks and coils.

Thanks for the info. What kind of power gains could I expect from these upgrades?

a gsr will generally have around 150 to the wheels with those basic bolt ons so its probably around a 15-20 horse increase.

2000 won't get u anywhere near 10s. to get 10s car u need top of the line stuff. we're talking about all out turbo setup or FI all motor will cost more then an arm and a leg.

first thing i would go is springs shocks and lightweighs or rims and good tires your choice. then go for power, i take it it's just going to go in a straight line on a strip. so u probaly don't need anything much more with suspension, just motor and weight reduction

Ya, like shadowdawn said, I wasn't looking for a 10 second car. It's cool though, we all make mistakes. I am actually going to go look at a couple Integras this week. I am not looking to buy right now but you never know what will happen. Thanks to everyone who helped. If I do end of getting one, I am sure I will have a lot more questions!

You will be spending more than 2,000 over time I assure you. If you aren't going to do the work yourself, you might want to consider labor charges into your budget.

2,000? I say just go stock for a while engine wise and just lighten up a bit. New suspension and new rims in my opinion. If you want to sound nice, get a nice catback exhaust.

And your 2,000 is spent!
