Default p28

I've heard all kinds of terms thrown around when it comes to tuning and ecu's and I'm curious about the chipped p28 because that's what I've heard of most when in reference with GSR's. I'm curious on how it works and what you have to do and for you to better help me I'm curious of doing this on a..
01 GSR
44k miles
AEM fuel rail
AEM FPR
RC injectors
Walbro fuel pump
t3/t4 turbo turbo set up, peiced together by me and intercooled only 8 PSI.

I was wondering if I would benefit from the chipped ECU's.

simples answer. Yes considering you are planning on turboing it. get a tuner to tune ur car and then chip an ECU whether it be a p28 or p72 so your car can run right.
