Default overheating

alright first i thought it was my fan well i rigged the fan so it was on a switch and i could run it all the time when the car is turned on, but that didn't stop the problem so then i thought well its gotta be my thermostat so i replaced it. the old one was really hard to move the springs on it they were almost locked up. but i think i need to burp the radiator because i can't get any pressure in my radiator hose. what do i need to do to get pressure in them. and if i get pressure in them and that doesn't keep it from overheating would it be my water pump. i am just lost help me.

What car and how many miles? Water pumps don't fail too often, me thinks. Is there water in your radiator? Check for low water, you might be surprised. You can try flushing your system as well. If something is stuck in the system, that causes an obstruction and that might contribute to overheating.

And when does it overheat? Idle? Hard driving? Long trips? Whenever it feels like it?

If you changed the thermostat and your water's full, then there isn't much place else to look besides the water pump, eh? Check your Helms or other crappy manual to troubleshoot a shitty water pump.

Did the builder (or you) replace the water pump when it was built?

If you're not getting pressure in your hoses at all and the thermostat's even been replaced, likely it's the water pump unless you have a serious leak somewhere. No water/coolant in the oil, is there? Head gasket's a possibility. Might try a compression test as well for good measure.
