Default Opinion on headers

I wanted to go from turbo to supercharged so I'm looking for a header first time. I was surprised at the range of prices. As far as I'm concerned, as long as the design is the same, why should I pay triple the price?

Please give insight into this.

What's your opinion on ebay headers like this?

If you s/c your car, I have seen info that claims that the Kamikaze (sp?) header is the way to go.

I know of one with a 3" collector, 3"inlet/outlet cat (hallow), and 3" Thermal exhaust for sale fairly cheap. If interested, I can give you the users s/n.

I would not trust a ebay brand header. You might have fitment and quality issues. The reason why people pay triple is because you know what your getting. Getting an SMSP, RMF, JUN, etc. header is going to be a quality piece that really tries to maximize your gains, and lasts a long time.

I don't know which header would be best for a supercharged application, but try searching around and see what people are using. I did a quick search and it looks like a few people are using a kamikaze header.

Also, if you do consider spending more money, try contacting SMSP, and RMF. They are both header manufacturers and talk to them about your setup and see what they recommend and they can build you a custom piece for your setup.

The designs are not all the same. The quality and materials are also not the same. There are header comparison threads in the Integra and Interga Type R FAQs. SMSP, Mugen, Hytech, etc. will rise to the top. Check in the forced induction forum for their opinions on different headers.

DO NOT GET AN EBAY HEADER!!! I got one and I put it on and the downpipe hit my oil pan and it is supposed to curve around it, but ended up going straight back making my header crooked so I took it off and put my stock one back on
