i dont know what you mean by hopping redline, but as for it not going into gears when your running the engine hard.... you may want to check your mounts.

Sounds more like a tranny problem to me. Our motors are designed to rev high, a few high revs for very short periods shouldn't hurt it (unless you went way into red line).

Check your transmission fluid first, if you are having problems getting into gears.

Could the problem may be that you are revving past second gear entirely? I'm by no means and expert, but would suggest that you shift sooner to avoid the problem. Do you really need to redline in first?

Good luck.

true, i think i just rev to high so im supose to go to 3rd and yea i acidently did rev too high im not a redliner hahaha, from now on first gear ill shift on 5000 thats way before redline it seems to do so perfect on 5000, which honestly when i ever drive my car hard its barley in 1st gear, cuz it doesnt seem to be very good to drive ur car hard in 1st im guessing such a small gear.

But i think it is, its not goin in 2nd cuz i drove 1st to hard so im supose to go 1st to 3rd i guess haha, thats kinda what i thought was wrong wit it

Sounds like low trans. fluid, a bad clutch, or a bad synchro to me. This is definitely not normal. Notice any signs of the clutch slipping?

Its probably your syncro. I have the same problem except that mine just grinds for now when I shift in high rpms into 3rd gear from second. Eventually over time you wont even be able to use your 2nd gear. You will just have to replace the tranny or rebuild it.

change ur fluid to GM syncromesh tranny fluid. yes GM as in General Motors. sounds like a bad syncro. try double clutching when u drive it hard and see if it does the same thing. if u double clutch it and the same thing happens then its probably not the syncro.

like they said. and do you have a cheap *** short shifter? my friends GF has some shoddy one and she always misses second and she doesn't bounce off the rev limiter or even "high rev" haha.

synchros are in the tranny. i dont know exactly wat they do but i know they are there so u can shift through gears in one smooth action and so that u dont have to double clutch every time u shift. chang ur fluid and see it works .
