Default Omni Vs. Tein

Hello everyone. My friend needs some help with lowering his car. He only has a limited amount of money for a decent drop. He is looking into some Tein H Tech springs or some Omni coilovers. Im trying to convince him to get the Omni coilovers. But he has heard so much about Tein. What do you guys think? Thanks.

ok tein H tech springs and omni power coilovers are two complete opposite setups. H tech srings are stock soft... just shorter.. S tech springs are stiffer as well as shorter. with tein SPRINGS ride quality is almost the same as stock... a little stiffer with the S techs. Now with Omni Power coilovers.... you can lower the crap out of those.. if you want.. but ride quality sucks... bad... not only are the springs stiff as heck.. the valving is very harsh. Not saying they are bad..but ever notice how they only make one type for road racing? you cant attack the touge and then the circuit with the same spring rates and dampening expecting to transfer weight the same way. Now with Tein coilovers they offer a large variety of coilovers to suit different needs... from 6kg gymkana coilovers to 16kg circuit spec coilovers.. one of the reasons why tein is great..just a little pricey for the good stuff. Damn i write too much. Does anyone else wanna elaborate? I'm sure you could find stuff on this if you used the search bar... but eh.. whatever.. im bored..

are you referring to omni sleeve-overs?

if so i would say go tein springs..pref the s techs. (omni sleeves will be really stiff)

i have omni full coilovers and love them for the price..but they are a little out of his $250 budget

$250 will get you nowhere near decent, he'll have to settle for generic ebay crap if he doesnt save up for somethin better haha.

yeah, i got these with koni yellows and i like it alot. i think he should just buy some used springs for now and save up for a better set-up. ask him what he wants to do with his car too. tein springs maybe enough for him.

Yea I ment Omni Sleeve-Overs. He just wants it for street use. No track or circuit. But he really wants to lower the car. Thanks for all the feedback. I will have him read it.

alright, then i think maybe he should just get springs. sleeve-overs are good because you can adjust the drop to just about where ever you want it, however they are more expensive. how low did he want it?

if he's going that route, tell him to save up and get some decent struts to go with them. Do it right the first time, or he'll end up spending more in the end. I heard good things about tein springs , rode in my friend's.. very smooth and nice drop. (s-techs)
