I just installed a moroso street/strip aluminum oil pan in my 94 integra gsr, and the oil light is now on. I simply replaced the stock oil pickup with the moroso one, and swaped out the pans. I checked the oil and its at the perfect level. This pan holds an extra quart of oil, and i put exactly 5 quarts in, and the dipstick reads full. It just dont have a clue as to why the light would be on....i find it hard to beleive my oil pump went bad because the oil light was not on just an hour before i changed pans. Has this happend to anyone before, if so, any idea as to why it did?

 

Is the pickup connected properly to the pump? Could it be losing pressure at the join? You could try an o/p test...
