i was just wondering if castrol syntec blend is a good oil to buy?... if not then what kind of oil is good but affordable cause my car eats up the oil and i have to get oil once every three weeks or so.

 

Refer to the 11 page friggin oil thread in the ITR forum....best info on oil you'll ever see. Search it and you'll see. I'm too lazy at this hour to do it myself.

 

I prefer Mobil 1 synthetic---love it!

Amsoil or Redline =

 

Mobil 1 should be a good oil but if you look on the type r forum, a lot of people have notice it "mysteriously" disappears. And these are on new/fairly new cars. The odd thing is that when these people ran back regular conventional oil, they didn't lose a drop. This includes myself, I have a 94gsr with 110k. My second to last oil change was with Pennzoil synthetic, (*I got it free*). I notice by 3000 miles, I had to add almost a entire qt. of oil. Switch back to regualr oil and have driven 2000+miles and the oil stick is still full.
