hey guys, i have a 98 rs and i just recently swapped my gauge cluster for a gsr gauge cluster, because the cluster i had was automatic. The new cluster i put in was from a 96 so i did the swap the green backing trick and it did work. I was driving around and i noticed when i was driving, my mileage wasnt moving on the odometer. All the plugs are in, it just doesnt move at all. I did change the mileage on the gsr cluster because it was in the 100k+ and changed it to my true mileage, which is 98---. Can changing the numbers cause it not to work? any ideas?

im pretty sure i didnt break anything. they all turned nicely and then i locked them into place. Could it be that one of the numbers didnt get locked in right, and its causing them not to turn?
I drive a 97 civic hatchback and recently all of the sudden the speed jumps but tries to work right. i replaced my vss and gauge cluster and still nothing helps. i dont know what the hell is wrong with my car please help me.

I know you are a noob and all but you shouldn't thread jack. But since you are new, try cleaning the contact for the VSS. My speedo quit and I was about to replace the VSS. But I saw the speedo bounce so I cleaned the contacts and everything was good from then on.
