ECU, transponder key, wire harness, motor.

Why would you want to do this?

I knew this was bound to happen. The, why would you do this question. But, I will answer with; Because I have already bought and swapped in the motor and have been running it on obd0 until recently because the two dizzy's I have used have literally blown up after driving around on them post two weeks.

A transponder key? Damn. I had a good rundown of parts needed but I didn't know a transponder key was one of them. Anyway I can get away with not using a key?

For reference purposes I have a 99 B20B installed... that was running with obd0 stuffs... so I'm not sure the key is that big a deal... but after giving it a obd2b ecu I'm in the dark on that one.

Maybe someone wants my motor and I can get back the cash?

Thanks for your answer by the way and to answer your question: Because I already bought and installed the motor.

OBD1 conversion is what you need.

Why do you want OBD2b? Do you need it for smog in your state?

Looks like going obd1 is my best option right now

I THOUGHT that if I went obd2b it'd be easier only because I already have a obd2b dizzy and alternator... and motor for that matter... but I think obd1 is what needs to happen.

An OBD2A ECU will run the motor just fine, considering that they didn't switch to OBD2B until 2000, and no transponder key or immobilizer workaround necessary.

That said, just do whatever is cheapest, IIRC the distributors are identical internally and just have different plugs. I swapped an ICM and coil from a DA Integra distributor into my OBD2A car with no problems.
