OBD2 conversion to OBD1
what exactly is involved in converting from OBD2 to OBD1 .im doing this to get rid of a check engine light that came on because of a hi-flow cat. im guessing i need a wiring harness. any idea on where to get all this.

depending on what year your car is.... there are 2 types of obd2. 96-99 integras/96-98 civics are obd2A. 00-01 integras/99-01 civics are obd2B. All you need to do to convert to obd1 is to get the correct obd2-1 conversion harness and a correct obd1 ecu that is for your application. You can contact many members on this board who makes obd2-1 conversion harnesses..... Blown90Hatch warranty's all of his harnesses, you can also contact Newman, Boomslang, etc....

Do you know exactly what the code is? It's proabably throwing the code from your secondary 02 sensor... If that, an OBD1 conversion would be nice, but just be careful with emissions. (I dont know if it differs from NJ from CT) They check cars now if it's an OBD2 and if it isn't they charge you a penalty
