Default obd1-obd2 conversion.

i know sounds stupid, but when i did my obd2-obd1 conversion it was quite a few years ago and we just soldered every wire. we did not use a harness. they weren't as available then as they are now. so my question is...
has anyone ever heard of an obd1-obd2 conversion harness? it will be easier to smog the car!
