The code 9 popped up when I shifted from 1st to 2nd at 7k passing someone about a month ago, it didn't appear to run any worse, just a rare occasional burp/buck when im driving.

The car is a 91 integra ls with a b18b swap, but obd0 converted.

Fast forward 300 miles, and its now doing at random rpms, off and on frequently. It can either show up for a split second then go away, or last for 5 seconds, during this is almost feels like its misfiring/bogging, it sputters and loses power during these spasms...

Code 9 is all I get on my ECU.

I replaced the CYP sensor with one from a known working dizzy (so i thought) same code, the problem is getting worse every time I drive it...

Any suggestions on what else I can check that would throw code 9 before I take it deep and spend another 100 on an obd0 dizzy on ebay?

 

Check the wiring. My brothers 91 wiring was oil soaked at the distributor exposing the wires causing a code 9

 

All connections are hooked up and clean, I'm going to buy another dizzy I guess
