obd question
I have a 90 DA 'teg with a 94-97 b18b. The deal with it is that the guy before me kept all the obd0 **** on the newer motor. ECU, harness, injectors....etc. Im planning to do an ls-turbo and from what I understand, you should convert to obd1 when going with Hondata. How hard is this conversion, and what am I going to need? I assume Im going to need a obd0 to obd1 conversion harness...but I know that cant be all there is to it.
its a pretty easy conversion

its not that expensive to go obd1, a LOT of the time the only cost is the jumper harness. Often people buy a motor that already comes w/ the correct obd1 electronics, and it would actually be more of a hassle to find the correct obd0 parts than to just buy a jumper harness and convert.
Newman is selling jumper harnesses right now for $119 shipped... damn good harness and damn good price.
A hondata stage 2 system for boost will retails for $545, a stage 3 is $725, however if you're obd1 then s100 w/ boost is $445 and the s200 w/ boost is $495 (obviously you can add more options which will raise the price). So, considering on the setup you want to run, it might not be any more expensive to run an obd1 system opposed to an obd0 system. And in general obd1 is a bit better than obd0... just newer technology.
