Anyone have any experience with an O2 sim? If so, what year/model, and where can I get one cheap?

Also, where was it placed after it was installed? Was it dangling from the o2 sensor?

Hey the o2 sim. in my '99 gsr has been giving me a check engine light after 3 days of driving. Its a slow 2nd o2 signal response code, WHATS UP WITH THAT? In my opinion THEY SUCK & IM GOING TO GET RID OF THE DAMN THING ! The best fix is to have the ecu reprogramed thats what im doing. GOOD LUCK

 

Thanks for the heads up... Where did you get yours? I heard there's a few different kinds floating around. I'll probably end up going OBD1 though.

 

I had a Godspeed test pipe and there was no CEL light. A few months later the cat material broke apart and the cel light came on. I welded the small holes (were the hot gases flow through) and the CEL light disappeared.

I DONT KNOW WHERE IT CAME FROM MY BROTHER IN LAW GOT IT FOR ME BUT I THINK YOUR ON THE RIGHT TRACK , GO WITH THE OBD 1 THATS WHAT IM GOING TO DO TOO

 

this is the brother in law. i just installed the same o2 simulator yesterday. i will let u know if the CEL comes on. 2 days so far and no problems!

Someone in the FI forum was saying warp aluminum foil around the sensor and then put it in a plastic bag and it will fix the CEL. Not sure who it was though.
