Default O2 sensor on cat

when i bought my car the Check engine light was on, but the guy i bought it off of said the O2 sensor needed plugged in, so today i looked at my friends integra and i put mine in the same way, but the check engine light is still on.............will it go away after the computer cycles? or do i have a bigger problem

check the ecu code to make sure its that sensor.

Find out what code you are throwing so we can get you a better answer. And you said the guy you got it from said it was unplugged. Was it? Did you try resetting your ecu?

it was unplugged and i match it up and plugged it in, im thinking ima have to get the computer tested, what u guys think?

At least check what code it's throwing. No point in wasting $$$ if it's something simple.

also how did you plug it in? was the wires pulledo ut of the harness?

is it a 4 wire?

2 blacks can not be interchanged, they have specific spots.

ya u should reset the ecu after you plugged in the o2 sensor. either disconnect the battery or pull the back-up fuse i think.

yah you should reset the ecu.

when i reconnected my oxygen sensor i had to reset it for it to go out.
