just wondering but what are the series of numbers under the engine codes,written on honda blocks? like if you look at a honda b-series block,it will say:
example:

b18b1
1234543

what do those numbers tell you,the last numbers of the vin number? i need to know because i need to identify a motor with a chassis,and the vin plate is ripped off

 

It's a serial number. If you have the VIN any Acura dealer can tell you what the serial number is of the original engine that came in that vehicle. There is no relation between the two, a VIN status report is the only way to check.
