Is there anyway to clean up my engine bay? I hear that simple green works, but I'm not sure. What do you think?

A product called Gunk works good, gets rid of grease and oils. Check that out!

hey dude, im a fellow g2 owner myself. In the past I have used simple green and it has worked wonders. Just make sure to cover the battery, distributor and what not before going to town with it. Let it soak then rinse off. If you want to add some bling, you can spray some armor all on the engine as well. Good luck and enjoy your happy engine bay

Damn, your DA is clean! From the looks of it you got lucky with how the panels line up. Mines all messed up and ugly for now. Other than that.. g2ic.com got some teg tips you can start off with. Even with cleaning the engine bay. Welcome to the gen2 fam!

Armor all after you clean will keep you engine looking bling for a long time. Last time I cleaned my engine bay was 4 months ago and it still looks the same. My engine bay is almost perfectly clean, the previous owner of mine took real good care of it. I work at a dealership so I have access to all the stuff I need to clean it for free. Thats almost the only good thing about my job, along with being friends with mechanics and getting free work done.

Simple Green worked pretty nicely for me, might want to try it out.

take the plate out of the dash, you're asking for trouble. If you don't want a plate on the bumper, then don't have it on the car at all.

I've had it in the window for a couple weeks now, no trouble...yet. Just haven't put it on the new bumper yet. Would I get into hella trouble for having it in there??
