Default Is Nos really that bad for the engine?

I was told that if i ran nos or turbo plugs and backed off the timing(and didnt spray the **** out of it) that its not really that bad. If you run Nos, give me a little feedback!

If you run 2 step colder plugs and retard the timing, while maintaining a reasonable shot (50-60), it isnt THAT awful on the motor, no.
