NOS?
i have a 2000 gsr with 23k on it. i will have intake, header, ex, and a jrsc. im running 8 pounds of boost. i have a B18 block with a B16 head and the jrsc is one for a type-r. could i run nos on that, or would that blow my engine fast. i was thinking a 50 or 25 shoot. or would i see no difference in my time running that low of boost. thax for reading this and thax for your post.

Read up on how nitrous works (and don't call it NOS on this site unless you wanna get flamed). It won't just "blow" your engine. To put it simply....The Nitrogen in "N2O" is only there to stabalize the oxygen until it is heated. Once the right temperature is reached, the oxygen is 'released' and acts as a catalyst to combustion. Turbochargers, superchargers, intakes, etc etc all allow more air in to make more power. Nitrous is no different.
The reason people blow their motors is because nitrous kits are so cheap and easy to set up improperly. People will use bigger and bigger shots without giving any thought to proper fuel management. Nitrous is no different from forced induction in that respect, either.
On a side note...people seem to have problems with getting oil flowing properly throughout their engine when running a b18 block with a b16 head. That'd be something worth looking into if you're worried about reliability, no matter what you decide on.
Nitrous is the same as any other mod that allows more O2 into the mix. The difference is, it's powerful and cheap. Fuel management is your friend
