50 wet shop? Is your car modded at all and how high is your milage? Remeber, NOS is like a girl with a sexual disease. If you hit it, you won't know what will happen.

Good write up indeed, NOS is best dollar for dollar HP gain, but it can be hard on your engine, just plan before you do it.

I guess we are back to calling it NOS over N20 or Nitrous. Oh well.

If you are going to do 50 - just get a dry zex kit. Its very easy to install and use. Dont get N2O happy though. Moderation is good. Get 2 step colder plugs.

lol
dont blow the welds on your intake manifold and be careful, ur floorboards might come off from all the hp

To be serious, 50 shot should be safe

But seriously. If you get NOS make sure you use it in modification or you could say bye-bye to your motor.

Stop calling it NOS...it's N2O.

NOS is a brand just like NX (Nitrous Express) and ZEX.
N2O = Nitrous Oxide.

IMO: N2O, a form of boost is fun, but obviously it's limited.
It may be the best dollar/hp mod, although in the long run you will grow weary of having to refill the bottles.

Why not just save up more money and invest in a decent custom pieced turbo kit?
And don't give the bullshit of my motor is stock and has too many miles for boost.

All you need to do is do a complete tune up. Make sure your compression is consistent all across the board and you have no leaks of any kind. Then you will be set to turbo it. This goes the same for supercharging and nitrous.

I boosted my car at 140,xxx miles - nearly 8 months ago.
No problems at all.

I just to runing a Zex Dry kit on my GSR. At the track in Bandimere, CO it run a 14.58@102.8mph on slick tire. I've seen RS run 75 shot and do 15.0-15.5. I really not sure what they run at sea level. Nitrous is Ok for you car as long as you take necessary step. Use Colder spark plug and make sure you have enough fuel in the motor. I used to run nitrous for 2 years on my GSR and it still running good. I went turbo last year and it much better than NOS, no more Refill on the bottle. A 10lb bottle w/75 shot nitrous last 2min30sec Vs. Turbo last ???min, hour, day, year. If you have some money go turbo.

if your gonna run naaws (lol) i think your safest bet would be a zex 55 shot. nitrous is fun but you have to keep filling the bottle which can be costly after a while. i would just save up and go turbo if i were you

If i decided to put nitrous on my car i would also go with a wet zex kit, less hassle easier to install and use, and just as good unless i was doing like 200shot direct port

dude just spray like a 150 shot! youll run like 12's. j/k on a serious note i ran bottle on my 95 gsr for a while and it was great until i detonated on cyl#4 for unknown reason ( and no it wasnt because of the fogger cause i used the gsr NOS plate) but all other cyl's were fine it blew the spark plug and scrached the cyl wall and started burning oil/smoking. but i used a wet shot about a 75 shot, not positve on the shot size because i didnt actually use the manual on the jet's to see what it would be, which if i did the jets i used didnt match the recommended ones anyway. i went to the dyno and mixed and matched jets until i got good power and air/fuel ratio. gained 74 hp and 85 ft/lbs. it was nice 220 hp and 200 tq. my friend ran little bigger shot on his gsr, a bottle a weekend for over a year with zero problems. so just get colder plugs, take 2 degrees timing out for 50 shot. and spray, just annoying filling the bottle all the time. i like wet shot, i hate zex its easy but cheasy to me. NOS and NX are real nice.

my friend put a 60 shot in his LS, and its fine. since he works at an import speed shop that deals mainly with hondas, i trust his judgement. the car ran a full second quicker in the 1/4, by the way. incase youre wondering about the performance increase.
