is this normal?
I have an LS 95 with Intake and Exhaust, I've done all oil changes on time and only did the 30,000 mile service at acura and now the car has 40+k miles. In the past when I turn the engine on, it started with a strong "Vroom" sound and the car started on in like 1 to 2 seconds, but now it has a weaker "vroom" sound when I turn my car on. When I turn the key all the way, it drags for like 2 seconds before the car starts. and the starter sounds weak. Does anyone know what the problem is? Once it the car is on, it's working fine, no problems. It's just a weak start I'm complaining about. Could it be that I need new spark plugs or wires/ tune up?
thanks
thanks
Get some new spark plugs and wires. Then check the distributor cap, and also your alternator. I would also reccomend just getting a general tune up. This doesn't sound like a serious problem, but you definitely want to take care of it so that one day that car doesn't start when you turn the key.
It sounds like your battery may be becoming weak. I pretty sure that most auto parts store will check your battery for free. Do you still have the original battery?
thanks. I was also wondering if it could have been my fog lights. I had those lights install not too long ago and I have been using it alot at night along with the headlights.
