No start
A friends gsr...
I drove it the other day, started great, drove, waited till it was warm, took it out on the highway, revved to about 7k, didnt drive like an *******, just brought it up high, then parked it, next day i go back, and turn the key...
car starts, jumps to about 1500 then dies about half a second later... t
hen it wont start, not a dead battery because i can hear it sound like it is trying to start, just not starting..
didnt try a roll start, but i suspect that would work maybe...
after trying for a while i reseat all the spark plug wires, and try to start, after about 3 times it starts and we are on our way, it drives fine, idles fine, no studder or anything, VTEC still working, park it, let it cool off,
come back 6 hours later, and same starting problem, after several tries, he tries it and finally it starts again... then drives fine, vtec works, perfect idle, then i turned it off, and let it cool, and the same thing happened again...
after i have been driving it, or after it starts once, then i can shut it off and start it again within 20 minutes and it will be fine, so what do you think the deal is?
About the car:
92 GSR 120k
Oil leak by VTEC Solinoid (either cam seal or VTEC gasket with the filter in it thing)
Power steering fluid leak directly on the PS pump. The front of the block is dirty because of this, and that is seriously all that is wrong with this car. Car is absolutely stock.
Fresh tune on a timing belt that has 20k on it, new water pump, new oil pump, ac compressor does not work, now that i think about it, the AC switch was set to on when we were trying, but that shouldnt have an effect on it... suggestions on what it might be?

fouled plugs? clogged fuel filter? those can cause inconsistencies in starting and are easy things to check. It gets more complex from there so try replacing those first, should run under $20 for new plugs and fuel filter.
assuming its not that, what else could it be, i wouldnt think fuel pump or filter, because it runs great, and i also wouldnt think plugs because again, it runs great.... it was really low on fuel when i started it
