Default new user with a strange problem!

my car is acting very strange and i have no clue what is wrong!

i left my house the other day in my 93 teg after about 3 miles the car tried to cut off. i gassed it and the check engine light came on and went right back off.when i pulled off from the stop the car would not rev over 3500 rpm. after a few more miles the car started to miss. i stopped and shut it off and tried to get it to throw a code but it wouldn't.i started the car back up and it was running fine(rev limiter back at 7000 rpm,no missing).i drove it approximaitly 2 miles when it started to smell like raw fuel. i stopped again to see if i could find a fuel leak and my wife told me look it the tail pipe where there was white smoke coming out.

i've been messing with it the past couple of days and have found that when i start the car everything is fine, when i rev it hard it starts putting out the white smoke.never alot unless its high in the rpm range. it's also spitting a fine mist of water or what looks like water out the tail pipe.

i'm not losing any water and there's no water in the oil and it's not overheating.none of this makes any sense to me!

i have intake, exhaust, header, crower 403 cams, crower springs and retainers, and exedy clutch and flywheel.any advice you can give would be greatly appriciated

white smoke usually indicates that you are burning oil. Perhaps do a compression test and find out whether or not your piston rings are any good. I would start with checking all your connections like battery connectors, spark plugs, vaccuum leaks (although it doesn't sound like a vaccuum leak, but check anyway) as far as fuel, check your fuel lines, injectors, fuel pressure regulator etc. you could have some bad o-rings on your injectors, *check your timing as well.

Blue smoke is oil, white is water...it even makes sense when you think about it.

Anyway, it sounds like its not getting fuel, the way it's missng and not revving. Maybe change the fuel filter. Also the pump or the pump relay could be on the way out.

although thinking about it, water in the tank is a very good suggestion, it would explain both the white smoke and poor running. Take a sample of the fuel at the filter if you change it and see if it's watery. you may possibly have to drain the tank and clean it out.

Good luck
