So has anyone ran against one of the new 06 eclipses??? I heard the v6 model is kiknda serious....

 

I heard that this is honda tech, and the integra section non the less.

but the V6 packs 255hp Id like to say or something in 230s, which is pretty nice.

I thought the '06 Eclipse had 263hp? It's all over the commercials. Ok...this is Honda-Tech, so I'm done.

 

Yeah, eclipse's, to me they always looked to big to move anywhere......

 

I don't think me running could beat an Eclipse. But you never know with a fat *** like that.

 

14.5 in the 1/4 says motor trend..

I've seen worse looking cars. It must be nice having 260 lb-ft of torque to play with. With 260bhp, assuming about 15% loss to the tranny means about 220 hp to the wheels. It also weighs about 600-700 lbs more than the integra. So I'd say that a stock GT Eclipse and a stock GSR are comprable. Though who knows how reliable the eclipse is, we all know that these honda engines last forever. Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a winner.

 

the previous gt model with the v6 was horrible...stock for stock i seen an LS walk on it. But this new one, not so sure my gsr will take it....I think it would be close. Guess i will just have to find out

I own a 98 LS and it couldnt touch my girlfriends 02 eclipse v6 I got her eclipse v6 to max out at 151 My ls maxxed out at 138 with AEM and her eclipse was an auto My Acura is a 5speed its just torque numbers you cant beat them.

 

ok that was you driving that LS....settle down i seen 5 speed take an 03 auto v6

 

i read that the first month that car came out, there was a safety recall becuase of brake failure

i believe it was 14.8 in the 1/4, but i would much rather purchase a itr before i bought a damn eclipse

I beat every eclipse I've ever raced. I raced an modded awd turbo gsx or whatever on the highway once, and nosed ahead toward the top of 3rd gear.

the new eclipse is going to be faster than everyone is thinking. 600-700lbs heavier don't mean **** if its got nearly double the torque

someone above said bone stock qm estimate was 14.4. Keep in mind this is UNMODDED. With a restrictive exhause, no intake, no header. 14.4 is what many gsr's run with boltons and slicks.

i think that person means stock as in the base model one which is still a 4 banger....

i raced my friends 04 eclipse gts(auto). for having 210 hp i was very disasppointed; he put less that a car on me through 2nd and 3rd gear

 

i test drove one, overall its okay, more tourqe and top end then a gsr, but i dunno i dont like it for its weight, its so dang slugish i mean it cant handle like a integra, i wouldnt buy it, in fact i'd take a messed up DA over a new clipse .....i never liked eclipses or dsm's after the 1G's
