Default Needle problem..Help!!

I've been putting these AC gauge faces on..Everything works fine, except the fuel gauge doesn't move with the face on..I've tried more tape and pushing hard around the needle base, but the needle popped out..It doesn't look broken..There is a short pin on the needle..I tried popping it in various ways...Can someone please help!!

Thanks

I remember when I had indiglo gauges. I hated it because my fuel gauge was stuck too. It stuck because the fuel indiglo gauge was touching the needle so it wouldn't move. I learned my lesson and took off those damn indiglos. They also left a sticky residue on the stock gauges so I bought a cluster and swapped out the gauges themself. Now I changed the stock bulbs from the cluster with amber ones. Let me know if you need any more help. I have taken apart the cluster several times
