Before I drop my money into my 96 integ se I just bought I need your help on the path to take. I am not clueless when it comes to imports but wondering if you could tell my of your opinions and personal experiences with the following. First off I just got married so money can be an issue as the wife does not consider imports life. I would really love to turbo my b18b1 but for the price of a kit, and sacrificing some reliability, should I get the basic I/H/E,cams and get nos. I would only shoot the nos when a street race occurs but how often would that be really? Also I figure by the time I buy the I/H/E cams and get nos I would be pretty close to a kit and would obtain more hp through the turbo. Please help me on what you would do. thanks

a small turbo system, if properly maintained and if you upgrade the management systems, fuel systems accordingly, will not be any less reliable than stock.

however, if you go out and get your greddy turbo, don't upgrade your fuel system acordingly, don't worry about your engine management, and fail to maintain your turbo, or your car more diligently than you would a stocker, you will have a less relaible car than stock.

also, consider that with a wife, will eventually come kids, and a lot less money, and a need for a 4 door car.

my opinion is for you to save your money and get a WRX when the time is right
