no one has eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever put a b16 in an integra.

for real though a b16 has 160 bhp compared to your ~140 bhp. if you're broke you won't be buying mods after a motor, if you would i'd say you'd only be able to afford maybe intake and exhaust which won't show you much gains at all.

I plan on making mod its just that a gsr swap cost to much when i can do a b16 swap with mods and make around 180bhp right.....?

The total cost of my swap was $2,100 max
B16a1 head and comp., pr3 rods, pistons(JE rings) and cams, pr3 fuel lines, injectors, pumps etc.... Strip/street ACT clutch and pressure plate
Tenzo Springs. Plus labor.

Just wait and look around for the best prices. While your looking around, save sum more $$$$$
I got lucky with all of this cuz I know the right people. If your willing to come down to nyc I can get you a GSR head for a good price.

But you dont have a complete gsr you've got half b16 half gsr i'm saying what kinda of power can be expected from a jdm b16 in my car with stage 2 cams, titanium valve springs and retainers, a mild port and polish, tuning and the usual bolt ons. I'm also looking for what other people, if there are any on this site, with any form of a b16 in their integra did and how it came out. Is there anyone out there who has done this and is happy with the out come. Can I get a little help from the HONDA-TECH GODS please

first off, i guess i didn't say i want to stay all motor so turbo is out of the question . Secondly the b16 SiR-II has 170hp and 113 tq plus a lsd tranny compared to my B18B with 142 hp and 127 tq and a p.o.s. tranny . The difference in the tq isn't enough to make me spend an extra $1000- $1500 on a GSR w/ lsd trannyI know i can get 180 to the wheels fom this motor relativley easily and the tq will increase with the hp. I just thought it would be different to have a quick Integra with a motor other than the all mighty GSR. Does anybody have any good stories about an b16 in a Integra .

a friend of mine is making 190 to the wheels on a lsvtec setup.

you WILL notice the difference in torque between the b16 and the b18. hp isnt as fun as torque.

Although vtec is nice to have, its not really worth going ls/vtec if your on a budget. Well your ls engine already has more torque than the b16 to start with, just swap your tranny to a b16 tranny then go with the basic all motor stuff such as intake: CAI, manifold... headers along with a full header back system, mabey some cams.

If I was in your shoes id go with a b16 tranny, headers along with full exhaust, CAI, port & polished intake manifold, cams(upgraded valve train), msd ignition, and mabey higher compression pistons. But im not in your shoes, and only you can decide what you want.

I just think that a b16 swap would be a downgrade... less torque, and more $$$. Im sure that there are other ways to get the results your looking for, for less $$$ and still have more torque than a b16.

it would definitly be a downgrade. and u need the bolt on stuff. allmotor horsepower is hard to attain. u NEED head work and if u go all motor u need higher compression, its a waste to be all motor with low compression. valvesprings cams retainers calves pnp pistons rods.. hit that up

going b16 just to get vtec is stupid and ur spending money to have a worse motor. it just makes no sense to me. go ls vtec if u really want vtec

While i am a fan of LS/VTEC to produce a reliable one for a daily driver is a costly affair. Is there anyone out there who has beeen running LS/VTEC for more than 50k miles. Never mind i'll post in allmotor section

an lsvtec doesn't have to be fully built to be reliable. mine is completely stock (b18b bottom, gsr top) and has been perfect since last june. just take care in putting it together, and dont rag on it too bad.
