so i was at the gas station tonight putting some gas in my car, finish filling her up go to start the car and the car doesnt start for a while, like its out of gas, it finally sputters to a start but is idling real low like 200 rpm, so i rev it a couple times and whn i take my foot off the gas the rpms dip down to almost nothing then comne back up to like 500. started driving and then it was fine and totally normal. idle was where it should be at all stop lights and had no problems. ne idea what the deal is? i also have a CEL light for p1457, which is something with the evap. possible im losing fuel pressure when i open the gas tank? how can i fix this?

wow, amazing response. i actually dont have hands so i dont even use a gas cap, its just open all the time. easier that way. gas caps are over rated
