what can be wrong.. as i turn on the car..it stays at its normal idle speed..and then all of a sudden it takes a big jump up to 1 nearly 2 rpm.. whats can be wrong?

 

Your IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) is probably dirty.

 

can we clean it ourselves or need to get a new replacement one?

 

You can try to clean it one of several ways. The easiest is to remove the air intake and spray carburetor cleaner into the hole for the IACV while the engine is running. The hole is in the inlet for the throttle body before the butterfly. The car will most likely stall a few times since you are essentially flooding the engine. However, the carburetor cleaner is passing through your IACV. The other method involvs removing the IACV and cleaning it. It is much more involved.

 

does your car idle like this or just the needle jumping? if its just the needle then do a tune up but if your engine is idleing like that then clean your IACV or get a new one.
