i traded my 1993 honda civic for a 1994 integra RS.


ok so the thing is, i know it was my fault i really do.

anyways, the guy told me he is the registered owner of the integra and he had bill of sale and everything from carmax. we made bill of sales written out to eachother and everything and he gave me $500 ontop.


now the problem is,

he isnt the registered owner, i tried to get it registered and they said they cant wont accept the bill of sale as a title and told me i have to get a pink paper signed by the previous owner. i call and call and its been 1 [freak]ing weed, this guy wont pick up. he finally picked up on friday and he told me the registered owner is his nephew and he will give me a call back at 3ish. i waited....never got a callback, i called him around 4 and his phone was off -_-


i dont [freak]ing understand, i have his number and everything but it turns out the address is fake, he ignores me and im running in circles calling a million numbers trying to find the REAL registered owner but nothing. im stuck with a car that i cannot register and idunno what to do.

i was thinking of just forging the damn signiture, but the thing is, will the signiture show up on the DMV records or itll just be the owners name right?>

 

My buddy had an issue like this. He called the guy and told him that if he didn't produce a title he would park the car on the railroad tracks and let the "owner" deal with the consequences. The guy quickly cam through.

I don't recommend this.

You should go directly to the DMV with the owner to resister a vehicle when it is sold. If there is an issue. No sale.

 

well my father works for a police dpt. and itold the guy that if he doesnt give me an answer i will have a talk with my father and have my car reported stolen. he cant register my car either because my pink slip was torn to bits by my dogs and he just has a bill of sale that i wrote on a peice of paper.


he text me back today and told me tmorrow FORSURE he will give me a call and meet up with me with the registered owner and have everything sorted out.
