probably a stupid question but what are the differences between the
90-95 LS timing belt kits ? (timing belt, tensioner, water pump)
and the
96-01 LS timing belt kits ? (timing belt, tensioner, water pump)
i know theres a difference because on inlinefour.com one is $47.73 more lol ..

?? something to do with the fact that one is obd1 and one is obd2 i would imagine they are the same but they just give them different part numbers or something ?????
for something like this..its best to go OEM acura..yeah it costs more..but its worth the piece of mind.
i bought my tensioner, pump and belt for a little less than 150 if i remember correctly..oem acura

I actually found the timing belt to be more expensive at carquest than they were at the dealership, pretty funny stuff if you ask me. I also remember reading (I think either on the Hasport site, or honda tuning that if you're sourcing parts for (let's say for instance) a 2000 teg and the part is the same as a 94 teg, you will often find that places will sell the part cheaper for the 94. I don't fully understand it, it's just what I remember reading when I was researching for my CRX swap and in some cases it seems to be true. Just gotta take your time and make lots of phone calls to get the best deals.
http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org the cheapest OEM acura pasrts i have ever found and it saves a trip to the dealer. and for all OEM honda parts http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ if anyone knows of a better cheaper site then post it up but these are the best i have found i have saved tons of money buying form these sites rather than a local dealership.
