need to make sure!!
a quick question, will removing all of the heat shields put any thing in danger of melting?? ive heard people say no and some say yes but to me the only one that might melt something is the header heating up the engine bay a bit.
not really...i have none also but i've heard that leaves and even plastic bags have started small fires by getting stuck to the exhaust but that can happen to any part of your exhaust
i took the heat shields off the converter on my 95 gsr because they were badly rusted.. drove it like that for quite some time and never had any problems... just got extra hot in the cabin during the summer lol
its right on top of the 4 header pipes, right there, its just a shield, if you can see your pipers clearly then you dont have one. I dont have one, I dont think its needed, either way, the exhaust manifold and the heatshield both gets hot enough to burn you regardless...

there are heat shields under the car as well. there are two that cover the catalytic converter. these sometimes will rattle and make noise when they become rusty and the bolts won't hold them together anymore.
