Default NEED HELPP

I recently got a 95 integra... it has a rebuilt motor it had hondata s300 but the seller wanted to keep that with the sale so i got the stock ecu a obd1 p75 ecu and just connected it up. When I start the car it takes a minute to start... once started it idles very low and if you give it gas it bogs. There is a check engine light on in my dash. Once the car is warm it drives normal but the check engine light it still on... anyone have any ideas what it could be.... I saw this was cut when i put the ecu back on... idk if this has anything to do with it or not? anyone know what the wire is to.. its blue with black stripe.. thanks

Looks like A4 where they would have had the VTEC wired up but that probably wouldn't make it run weird. Pull the CEL and see what it is.

The ls ecu won't even be looking for Vtec. You need to figure out what the CEL is for. There is a DIY in the Integra Faq that will show you how to do it. Once you find out what the code is then go from there.

You've either got an open in the wires connecting the ECT sensor to the ECU, or you've got a faulty ECT sensor. You could try replacing the ECT sensor. I've got a troubleshooting guide in my Helms but it doesn't tell what the proper voltages should be when it's operating correctly.

If you have a volt meter, the wire should read 12+V.

Which pin is that loose wire coming out of? A bad ECT sensor will make your car run like crap. Fix it!

You can reset the CEL yourself. Dont pay anyone to do that. Google is also a great tool.

So now you have a solid CEL? In that case you have a faulty ECU.

Exactly now you have a Solid CEL that won't go away after resetting it right?

No need for two threads. If you don't want to verify if the ecu is faulty or not then enjoy running in circles.
