lets see, you have a bad "sensor". they gave you a "switch". you need a "sensor". where does the complication come in?

The one they gave you goes on the head I believe, and the one you need goes on the t-housing.

Well bro, i put everything back together reset the timing and the car runs great!!!! but i havent reset the ecu yet.... but the only thing which im alittle concerned about is that the car idles at 1500rpms it runs nice no up and down with idle....but is that where its supposed to idle?

and i think i have to adjust the valves just a little bit more because i can hear slight tapping sometimes...

The short, stubby one is a radiator (cooling) fan switch. The longer one is a coolant temperature sensor.

I think . . .

The sensor monitors coolant temperature and sends info to computer for air/fuel adjustment.

The switch receives signals from computer about engine temp. and turns fan on/off accordingly.

The closest guess would be the cool. temp. sens. signal modifying fuel (affecting idle)? You may have pulled the wrong part.
