Alright so I got into a wreck. Front bumper, drivers fender, hood, rad. support and windshield all need to be replaced. I have 8k to spend on this. So my plan is to order a jdm front end to fix everything. Problem is: The front of the passenger side frame rail bent down in the wreck. I have the option to buy the car back for 800 bucks and Im thinkin it can be done. So my question is....If I buy the car back for 800: can the frame rail be replaced, or fixed maybe by sawzalling the end off and welding on a new end?

 

unless you can bend it back your going to have to weld a new one up

 

COuld I? I have the funds I was just wondering if that would work, to sawzall my bad tip off, and then saw a tip off of a good frame rail and have that welded on?

 

sorry to hear about your wreck but doing all that you mine as well weld on a jdm front. if you like jdm.

Well thats actually what I plan on doing, I was gonna order a jdm front clip? Would that come with everything I need? Would that portion of the frame rail be included?

Anyone w/ any input please respond, Im REALLY trying to get this to work

 

I heard bad stories about people doing a jdm itr front conversion on a car with front end damage since it will be hard to get everything to allign right.

 

well I would be odering a jdm front clip so nearly all of that would be getting transfered over...so i think that would help..

 

anyone who has ordered a front clip or installed one, any info you have on what it came with, how hard it was would be greatly appreciated

yea i ordered 1 for mines comes with fenders, hood, bumper, grill, and lights thats about it. well also the front metal frame

 

For $8k, you could buy another LS that was not wrecked and will not have a salvage title.
