Need Help Fast!
Yesterday my brake light remained on after the keys were out of the ignition and the car was turned off. I found that the little plastic peice that sits behined the brake pedal had broken.
My question is this: I need to go to Honda so I can get a replacement, but cant seem to find the part # anywhere and I am afraid a simple description will not yeild any results with the parts department at honda.
Thanks
P.S I was searching on http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org

This forum never ceases to amaze me.
In case anyone cares, I went to honda and got the part. Now the only question I have is this.....I put the stopper where I thought it should be based on the picture. I tried to take a picture on my phone, but it didnt come out at all. So Ill try and explain it to see if its correct.
I placed the stopper through a hole on a metal braket that is attacted to the pedal arm. It pushes in on this little black (cylinder) plastic peice that is incased in a bolt-like thread pattern. Checked the tail light and vuallah! Its off now. I then pinned something against the brake and the brake light functions properly. So hopefully it is in the correct spot, just would like verifictation.
And to add to that, I noticed that my clutch pedal did not have the stopper. Again I am looking at the same spot, just on my clutch pedal. What is the purpose of the stopper on the clutch pedal and do I need to replace it.
-Hope to see some life here in the integra forum.

How about you buy a Helms? Is that too much to ask? Instead of being a lazy *** you already went to the dealership and got the part number so...

I'm RICK JAMES BITCH!!! To the OP, I did not reply because I did not know the answer... Sometimes you have to wait for an answer from this Forum. You don't have to bump so much. I realize that you were in need of a quick answer but don't flame if your question isn't answered within an hour.

Yea I understand, just get annoyed b/c threads like "look at my new part" get alot more hits when this forum wasnt intended for that. Regardless patience is a virtue and I lack that sometimes.

Your posts are usually intelligent and dont involve flaming for the most part, so I am suprised you wasted your time with pointless flaming. Either way I do have a haynes manual and am not lazy one bit. I searched the internet and the book and found nothing, so i made a post about it.
So shoot me.

haha...not everyone here knows what little plastic piece that broke behind the brake pedal's part number...
plus why rely on a bunch of retards and e-racers when you can do it yourself...
and an get a helms and you can do most stuff by yourself: you'll either know it was done right or know exactly what fucked up and who fucked it up

WoW
You select your 129 posts well and with quality.
I do have a haynes manual. I do not have a helms manual.
You were to quick to imply that I was restating what he had written
No more posts. Im done. A simple, "Did I do this right?" And I definetly recieved some quality feedback.

Getting impatient after 69 minutes is ridiculous. If you were really worried about the battery, you should have pulled the fuse for the brake lights.

True, but after 40+ people look at the thread and not one response, it makes me question the knowledge of H-T. Its a common honda problem, so I guess thats what got to me. Regardless thanks for the info.
