My friend just installed a 5 zigen fireball exhaust system into his 01 gsr. The engine light came on and the spedometer is not working at all. Just now the abs turned on and now his car wont start. Does anyone know whats going on here? Also we noticed, while we were driving, that when we used the blinker the radio would blink with the signal light. Also on the freeway, in 5th gear, the acceleration shuts down even though his foot is on the pedal. Someone help out please. We are in some desperate need!!! thanks in advance

 

Wow, I don't know what to say, I have never heard of anything like that occuring from just replacing the exaust. Did you guys mess with any of the sensors on the exaust? I'm drawing a blank on where all those problems could be coming from...

Someone on this board will know something more about the electrical circuit in the Integra and will hopefully know where all of these strange problems are being rooted from....

And all you did was install the exhaust????

 

ya just installed the exhaust. Its a whole cat back system. It replaced all the piping except the catalytic convertor.

 

definitely something electrical.. which is not related to the exhaust. Check your VSS to make sure its still plugged in.. that would cause the speedo / engine light.

Other than that.. it sounds like maybe you have a blown fuse or some wires crossed or something crazy electrical going on.
