will a 87 d16a1 work in an 88 integra rs....I heard that the dizzy won't line up can someone please confirm this.?

 

yeah the motor is from an 87 integra ls and I want to put it in my buddies 88 integra rs...lmk thanx

sorry i dont think im quite understanding your post, are you planning on putting the dizzy from the 88 on the 87 motor?

 

if your swaping the whole motor it really dosn't matter...

 

I am swapping the whole motor in.......but heard the holes on the head from the 87 won't line up for the dizzy from the 88 and that they are different and non-interchangeable...please correct me if I am wrong.

 

ok so your putting the existing 88 dizzy on the 87 motor? Looking at the technical diagrams of the dizzys for each year i dont think they are interchangeable. you could always give it a try. if it doesnt work just pick up a dizzy for the 87.
