Just wondering if the tube that lets coolant go into the engine is supposed to shrink? It's been shrinking and I dont know if that's normal.

 

Are you talking about the Upper radiator hose. If so, your coolant may be low and cause an air pocket to get trapped in system. Add coolant to resovior and then bleed the system using the bleeder bolt. That sould take care of your problem.

If not, then ur hose is shot and u need to get a new one. I usually replace my hoses every 3-5 years just to be on the safe side. (Helps Eliminate breakdown)

 

what do you mean shrinking? be a little more specific... you can replace your hose anyway, it's not too hard and doesn't put a dent in the pocket...

 

ahh i remember my POS dsm days... when one of my hoses exploded i had to add a shitload of coolant. at first i didnt add enough and the upper radiator hose collapsed lol. yay, im not on post #666 anymore lol
