Default NEED A/C HELP

alright guys so the other day i put on my a/c compressor and i hooked up all the wires so i get to my friend shop so he can put freon in it.he did and when we turned on the a/c it didnt work and he tested the connecton for the a/c compressor and there was no power....and their was no power to the hi/low switch and he also checked fuse, relays ect... so i was wondering it it cuz i have a chipped p28 in my car that is causing this???? or what could be causing this? discuss........

how much r134a did you put in? some times you have to jump out the low pressure switch to make the compressor run untill you have enough in it. i doubt you got enough in there with the compressor not running and i would also add a can of oil in it also since the compressor has been out, r134a oil can evaporate very quickly. and you also need to put the sytem under a vacuum to remove any air and moisture.

it not about the freon its about the power i got no power to the compressor or the the high/low switch

check your power wires. see if anything is disconnected or not a good connection. Also if you do not have the compressor running while charging the system you will not be able to fully charge your AC. So even when and if you start the compressor up its not gonna blow cold air. Your going to have to pull a vaccum for a full charge with no air int he system.
