Default need answer asap

i connected an auto p75(obd1 ecu, i used a jumper harness)to my 96 rs b20b 5 speed...the check engine light is now gone...but when my car is cold in the morning the idle goes way up to almost 2k rpms and idles up and down until the car is fully warm...does that happen because it is an auto ecu hooked up to my manual car?

I believe it is because you have an automatic ecu hooked up to a 5 speed...don't quote me on that though I am almost sure that is what it is.

well i understand the cold start up thing..it idles higher to warm the motor to operatiing temp...when it gets there the idle settles...but im positive its not normal for idle to go up and down during warm up...and im pretty sure its not supposed to be close to 2 k rpm when idling...ive tried to adjust the screw ur talkin about...no luck...it idles perfect when warmed up
