need advice
Change all of the fluids first off. Then double check all of the seals and belts to see if they've dry-rotted. Change the timing belt anyway. The biggest issue IMO is if water has somehow gotten down into the cylinders (very possible) then there may be surface rust on the cylinder walls which can negatively affect the lifespan of the piston rings.
When you first try to start it up, remove the ECU fuse and crank it over for a minute or so until the oil pressure light goes off. Then reinstall the fuse and crank it. You may need to replace the spark plugs as well. Basically just be prepared for some measure of troubleshooting.

Just do a basic maintence. Tune up, change all fluids, and yeah, definately have those rubbers looked at.
And when you do get a chance to drive it, dont drive it to hard.

You can, just not for the first week or so. Let everything get settled back in first.
