WTF?! they just stole it to burn it? That doesn't sound like the typical reason for a thief to take a clean dc like that. Most of the time they are stripped and the body left somewhere. There has to be a reason why they stole it and just burned it. Beef between you and someone, maybe? I would really get into what happened. Sorry for your loss
